BIOGRAPHY

Sarah is a PhD student in the School of Packaging. She finished her BS in Packaging at Michigan State University in 2007 and then spent 16 years in Melbourne, Australia, where she completed a MS in Packaging Research. She investigated the role of labelling in directing consumer packaging waste in order to increase recycling rates across metropolitan regions. While in Australia she also taught at a Community Environmental Park and worked with students and schools to increase sustainability efforts. Sarah is excited to be a spartan again and expand her research interests to focus on Life Cycle Analysis during her PhD program. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, biking, hiking, and being outside with her family.
