BIOGRAPHY

My name is Henry Gonzalez, I am from El Salvador. I am a Ph.D. student in Horticulture and pursuing a dual major in Environmental Science & Policy.
As an international graduate student from Latin America, I am deeply aware of the water quality and quantity issues faced by various industries, agriculture, and households in my region. I understand the significance of my research in today's context and in the years to come, so I have dedicated my academic journey to advancing solutions for agricultural wastewater treatment and recycling. Currently, I am actively engaged in researching low-cost technologies for pollution control and prevention in agricultural operations (Michigan, US).  Cost-effective systems for the remediation of agrochemicals from agricultural runoff can improve water security for the industry by making it suitable for recycling while preserving the quality and availability of freshwater resources. This holds immense importance, particularly for greenhouse and nursery operations.
