BIOGRAPHY
Rick’s research interests are in the areas of environmental and natural resource economics management and policy design, particularly the management of nonpoint source water pollution, valued wildlife, wildlife diseases, and invasive species. Much of his research in these areas examines how complex features of environmental problems (e.g., the unobservability and stochasticity of nonpoint source emissions or of invasive species introductions; the unobservability of individual infected wildlife), as well as feedbacks between economic and ecological systems, affect available management strategies and their economically efficient design.
