BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Johnson joined the Anthropology department at Michigan State in August 2025. She previously served as the Director of the Augustana University Archaeology Lab. Johnson graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2021 with a Ph.D. in Anthropology, and she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Kentucky in 2023. Dr. Johnson has 20 years of archaeological experience in the southeast, midwest, and Great Plains regions of United States and in Guatemala. Her specialties include cultural resource management, archaeological legislation, household archaeology, gender, archaeological ethics, stone tool analysis, and computational methods.
