BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Hui Li is an Environmental Soil Chemist at Michigan State University. His research program focuses on analysis, sorption, transformation, bioavailability, and plant uptake of pharmaceuticals and personal care products, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, and legacy organic contaminants in the environment, understanding of fundamental environmental processes at the interface of soil and water, plant uptake of organic contaminants, and development of innovative environmental remediation technology and mitigation management strategies. These research programs have been funded by EPA, USDA, NIEHS, and NSF. He has published over 170 peer-reviewed articles in environmental science and engineering, and soil sciences journals. Dr. Li teaches or co-teaches CSS 330 Soil Chemistry, CSS 455 Pollutants in Soil and Water, CSS 865 Environmental Organic Chemistry, and ESP 801 Physical, Chemical and Biological Processes of the Environment.
