BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Nejadhashemi received his doctorate from the University of Maryland. He is an MSU Research Foundation Distinguished Professor and serves as Director of the Institute of Water Research and the Center for Intelligent Water Resources Engineering. His research focuses on understanding and managing water resources and nonpoint source pollution at field, watershed, and regional scales. His specific interests include watershed and water quality modeling, surface water–groundwater interactions, climate change impacts on water resources, artificial intelligence (AI), geographic information systems (GIS), and decision support tools. His work integrates data, modeling, and computational methods to support sustainable water management and informed environmental decision-making.
