BIOGRAPHY

Prof. Tarabara received PhD and MS degrees in Environmental Engineering from Rice University (Houston, Texas). His research is in the area of separation processes with applications that include water treatment, industrial pollution control and biosafety monitoring. He has co-authored over 100 journal papers and book chapters on these and related subjects. His current editorial duties include serving as the Chief Editor of the Journal of Environmental Engineering (ASCE) and as an Editor of Separation and Purification Technology (Elsevier). Dr. Tarabara is a member-by-eminence of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists and a Fellow of the Environmental and Water Resources Institute, ASCE. At MSU, Dr. Tarabara also serves as the Director of the Center for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies.
