Zhouyuan Wang is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University, where he is also a student in the Environmental Science and Policy Program (ESPP). His research, conducted under the supervision of Dr. Kaisen Lin, focuses on developing HVAC filter-based methods for environmental surveillance of airborne respiratory pathogens in indoor settings. The interdisciplinary work integrates building engineering, environmental sampling, molecular analysis, and occupancy modelling to advance monitoring strategies for public health. His research interests lie at the intersection of environmental engineering, indoor air quality, and public health policy.
