BIOGRAPHY

Xiang is a PhD student at the Center for Systems Integration and Sustainability under the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. He received a master’s degree in agricultural engineering from Northwest A&F University in China. Currently, his research focuses on the environmental and socio-economic impacts of Russia-Ukraine war under metacoupling framework including the food security, economic losses, and ecosystem degradation. He is especially interested in GIS, virtual resource flows, and coupled human–environment systems.
